We take pride in working with our clients’ needs to create works of functional art. We work 1-1 with our custom clients using our in-house CAD design process to produce renderings of the final piece, and invite collaboration on defining each element of the piece to their satisfaction.
CAREFUL WOOD SELECTION
We work with salvaged oak from our own backyard, and source only from the best sawmills on the West Coast and across the country for the highest-quality kiln dried wood. We do all of our own custom on-site milling, planing, shaping & finishing, taking the piece from raw wood timber and raw metal, to finished works of art, all within our coastal mountain studio.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
With years of experience in building and sculpting with wood and various mediums, we take pride in working each piece to finished perfection. Our expertise with epoxy resin expands the options for design and color infinitely, we use only the best natural wood oils and waxes, and we ensure your custom piece will beautifully enhance your space and become an heirloom you can pass on for generations.
We craft our pieces of functional art from SUSTAINABLY-SOURCED, SALVAGED woods and HAND-FABRICATED materials, ensuring each piece we make is completely unique and one-of-a-kind.
It starts with stunning native hardwoods & softwoods procured from sustainable sources — from the coast of California to the Pacific Northwest — or sourced locally and milled on-site with one of our portable sawmills.
Our commitment to using only natural wood finishing hard waxes, oils and nano-thin ceramic hard coats ensures your piece never looks waxy or feels sticky, but highlights and preserves natural wood colors with a pleasant and waterproof texture.
Our open-air studio hums with the tantalizing excitement of discovering what each piece of wood can become through our care, craftsmanship & ingenuity.
